Socktober has begun. Join Student Voice and your Wildcat teams in collecting new pairs of socks for Lenawee County homeless shelters. Drop your new pairs of socks off in your Wildcat team room this month. There will be prizes awarded to each student who participates, as well as to the three teams that donate the most pairs of socks.
Popcorn Friday is tomorrow! Popcorn will be sold during lunches. Don't forget your dollar or your earned PBIS ticket.
Mathletes interested in stretching your mind and problem-solving, we will begin training next week. Practices will be held by grade level during lunches on Mondays in October and November. So get your lunch, and head to your math classroom on Monday to begin training. Beginning in December, we will train across grade levels.
The 8th grade Volleyball Team was at Ida Wednesday night to take on the Bluestreaks. Ida took all three sets, but the cats put up a fight and made it challenging at times for the streaks. Scores were 13-25, 4-25, & 19-25. Scoring points for the Ladycats were Ellie Cannon, Paige Mathis, Paisley Murphy, Delaynie Rumsey, Kate McKelvey, & Briella Ross. Good effort girls!
The next day of competition will be on Saturday at Madison, for the LCAA Tourney. The next regular match will be at home on Monday 10/13. Good luck girls!
The 7th grade volleyball team traveled to Ida last night for their last away game of the season. After a slow start, the wildcats bounced back after a 4-18 deficit and finished set one 20–25! The wildcats then took that momentum into the second set, relentlessly scraping for every ball. Their teamwork and determination led them to the top, winning the set 25-22. The third and final set went point for point as the cats rallied their way through, just falling short with a score of 18-25. The wildcats were resilient and left it all on the court, playing their best match of the season so far!
Leading servers for the night were Fiona Anderson with 8 service points, Lily Pliska with 6 service points and Macie Lover with 6 service points.
Stay tuned… there’s more to come! Go cats!T
