Daily Announcements Wednesday, November 24, 2021

 Good Morning Onsted Middle School, Today is Wednesday, November 24nd

The 7th grade basketball team took on Clinton and fell 25-12. Carson Garrison played a great game on defense and had 4 points. Nolan Rumsey added 5 points, while Brennen Wonders, Brix Bumpus and Connor Kish came off the bench with a lot of hustle!  

The 8th grade won a very close game at previously undefeated Clinton.  We were losing the whole game until the last exciting 90 seconds.  Rylan Henagan lead all scorers with 13 points, including a dunk, a 3 pointer, and 4 for 4 from the free throw line.  Cole Wells scored 8 points all in the 4th quarter, and going a clutch 7 for 8 from the free throw line.   Bryson Sutherland played very tough, scoring 8 points and collecting several rebounds.  Alex Dolson played great defense and had some nice passes. 

The Basketball Wildcats are back in action next Wednesday at Home

• There will be a formal dance scheduled to happen on Saturday, December 18th. Stay tuned for more details.
• If there is any student interested in wrestling (including basketball players) Please come to the cafeteria after announcements for a brief meeting with coach Boss!

 Good Morning Onsted Middle School, Today is Tuesday, November 23rd

The 7th grade basketball team lost a tough game to a good Columbia Central team 18-13. The boys are improving but just couldn't put a few shots in the basket. 

The 8th grade won a very close game by 4 points at Columbia Central.   Cole Wells played a great game with 13 points, including 2 clutch free throws to put us up 4 with 15 seconds left.  Rylan Henagan also played well with 13 points and some nice passes. Hunter Kangas played tough as nails, getting several rebounds and scoring 4 points. 

Both teams are back in action tonight at Clinton!

Daily Announcements Thursday, November 18, 2021

 Good Morning Onsted Middle School, Today is Thursday, November 18th

The 7th grade basketball team had a winning 16-10 victory over Dundee. Strong defense by the wildcats was the difference in the game led by Lucas Arnold, Jack Tessier, Brix Bumpus. Connor Kish played a good game on both ends of the court and scored 4 points. Bryce Adams & Nolan Rumsey led the scoring attack. 

The 8th grade beat Dundee by 10 points.  Rylan Henagan lead all scorers with a season high 22 points. Cole Ruttkofsky had some great moves to the basket and scored 4 points.  Hunter Kangas plays with incredible hustle and toughness and also scored 2 points.  Landon Johnson nailed a deep 3 in the first half. 

• We have an assembly tomorrow. Former NFL player- Shawn Harper- "Overcoming Adversity from 9-10am" Shawn is a former offensive tackle in the NFL. Harper was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 1992. Throughout his career, he played for the Rams, the Houston Oilers, the Indianapolis Colts.

Mr. Aiken would like to announce that the 7th grade Follow Christian A  is cancelled for Wednesday. All boxes for Operation Christmas Child should be given to Mr. Thompson and they all need to be turned in by Friday!
