Good Morning Onsted Middle School, Today is Thursday, April 28  2022

Good Luck Track Team who will be traveling to Columbia Central HS for a 4:30 Meet!

Any 8th Grader interested in HS Student Council pick up your application from Mr. Arnold. They will be due on this Friday April 29th.

Attention all 6th-8th graders who are interested in playing football next year, both in the MS and those going into the HS, you will be able to meet the new coaches and sign up for the fall.  The meeting will take place today during advisory after attendance is done there will be an announcement to report to the MS Cafeteria. The coaches are excited to meet you and get you signed up.

Good Morning Onsted Middle School, Today is Wednesday, April 27  2022

Attention all 6th-8th graders who are interested in playing football next year, both in the MS and those going into the HS, you will be able to meet the new coaches and sign up for the fall.  The meeting will take place tomorrow during advisory from 11:08-11:28am in the MS Cafeteria. The coaches are excited to meet you and get you signed up.  

The OMS Girls Track Team traveled to Hudson to take on the Tigers on a cold windy evening.  The Tigers came out ahead 85-50, but the Ladycats put up a good showing for their first night of competition on the oval.

First place finishers:

Carliey Clack tied in the high jump.

Ruby Helinski 70 meters, 

Raegan Brosamer 200m hurdles, 

3200m relay team of Izzy Raglow, Aubrie Schonfeld, Emma Grulke, & Raegan Brosamer, 1600m relay team of Izzy Raglow, Mattie Hallenbeck, Emma Grulke, & Hadley Ross.  

There were also multiple 2nd & 3rd place finishes, a great effort by all!  The next meet will be at Columbia on Thursday 4/28.

Congratulations to the Onsted Boys as they crushed the Tigers. 

Boys with 1st place finishes were:

Connor Kish and Zach Taylor had 2 first place finishes. Kaven Sundquist, Mason Chesser, Hunter VanZandt, Cole Wells, Carson Shadbolt, Keegan Gray, Parker Briggs, Aiden Schmidt, Nick Holmes, Nolan Rumsey, Carson Garrison, Elijah Huffman.

Boys with 2nd place finishes were:

Jack Tessier had 2, 2nd place finishes, Patrick Pangborn, Carson Shadbolt, Bryce Adams, Travis Spicer, Elijah Huffman, Sawyer Murphy, Hunter VanZandt, Nick Holmes.

Boys with 3rd place wins were

Jonah McKelvey had 3, 3rd place finishes. along with Carson Shadbolt, Cole Wells, Sawyer Murphy, Carson Garrison, Joel Sniegowski

Mrs. Wetherby is asking that all 6th graders bring their library books to class today!

Student Council applications can be picked up from Mr. Arnold's room. They are due this FRIDAY

Good Morning Onsted Middle School, Today is Tuesday, April 26  2022

A couple quick things from Mrs. Permoda this morning. 

You may still shop online at Scholastic to get any books you may have forgotten until May 1st, and it will still benefit our school.

Mrs. Permoda also had a couple winners that did not stop by yesterday to get their prizes....

Please stop by the Media Center today sometime.

All students will be able to get back to visiting the Media Center this week with their ELA classes in order to exchange library books.  See you then.

Congratulations to the 21 7th and 8th grade Band students who had Outstanding performances at solo and ensemble this past weekend! They took home 16 first division ratings and three 2nd division ratings!

Best of Luck to the MS Track team as they travel to Hudson for their first meet of the season! Field events start at 4:30.
