All 8th graders who have had artwork on display this year from marking periods 1 through 3, please report to the art room immediately after announcements.  Also, all 6 and 7th graders from marking periods 1 through 3, this is your last call to collect art work.  You are to report to the art room immediately following announcements."

Today is the last day to purchase a year book. ($30).  Students can purchase them from Mrs. Smith before school until they are sold out.

Merit Trip info: Get your waivers signed and returned to the office ASAP - The forms need to be fully filled out to be valid. I will be sending back the forms if not fully completed. We will be going Tuesday we get back from weekend so if you haven't turned one in yet bring it Tuesday.

Attention Teachers and Students-Now until the end of the school year, students will not be allow to come to the front office unless teachers call the office first. Unless it is an emergency students will be sent away to check in with teacher. Students, do not come in between classes to get ice, phone calls or questions you will be told no.  Students are to be reporting to the next hour teacher before class.

The OMS Girls Track Team competed in the LCAA Meet Monday at IDA to close their season.  Placing highlights for the meet included all 4 relay teams, and a few individuals.

The 4x800 team of Aubrie Schonfeld, Payton Edwards, Klair Baker, & Alana Ramsey took 4th, the 4x200 team of Mattie Hallenbeck, Chloe Gemalsky, Hadley Ross, & Emme VanZandt took 3rd, the 4x100 team of Avery Parks, Addison Thompson, Grace Wright, & VanZandt took 3rd, and the 4x400 team of Lillian Briggs, Ramsey, Selena Spicer, & VanZandt took 3rd. In the Long Jump Ramsey placed 3rd, while Hallenbeck placed 4th, and Spicer 6th.  Lastly Klair Baker placed 4th in the 800.

Good job to all on the night, and to the team on the season!

The OMS Girls Track Team had their last regular dual meet Thursday night at home against Hudson, and came out on top 89-31.

First place finishes were taken by the 4x800m relay team of Klair Baker, Payton Edwards, Alana Ramsey, & Aubrie Schonfeld, the 4x200m relay of Emme VanZandt, Mattie Hallenbeck, Chloe Gemalsky, & Hadley Ross, the 4x100m relay of Lilian Briggs, Avery Parks, Addison Thompson, & VanZandt, and the 4x400m relay of Ross, Selena Spicer, Ramsey, & VanZandt.  Individual firsts were taken by Hallenbeck (Long Jump & 55 Hurdles), Braelyn Valasek (Shot Put), Briggs (100m &200m), Baker (1600m & 800m), and Ross (400m).  There were also many 2nd & 3rd place finishes. Great job!

The last meet of the season will be on Monday at IDA.

Onsted Boys track team soundly defeated Ida.

Congratulations to all participants!

First place finishers were: Damien Walker, Connor Kish, Elijah Hoffman, Keegan Gray,

Nicolas Holmes, Carson Garrison, Jacob Ohlman, Zack Taylor, Owen Gemalsky,Ayden

Schmidt.

Second place finishers were: Travis Spicer, Nick Holmes, Alex Hunt, Adam Ellenwood,

Sawyer Murphy, and Brennan Wonders.

Third place finishers were: Ayden Schmidt, Brennan Wonders, Travis Spicer, Caleb,

Savage, and Connor Kish.

The OMS Girls Track Team competed against Ida, although it was a tough meet which Ida won 95-32 taking most of the top spots, the Ladycats took two relays, and had some 2nd & 3rd place finishes.
The 4x200m relay team of Mattie Hallenbeck, Chloe Gemalsky, Hadley Ross & Emme VanZandt, and the 4x100m team of Avery Parks, Grace Wright, Addisan Thompson, & Emme VanZandt took firsts.   Taking 2nd places were Lilian Briggs in High Jump, 100m, & 70m, Hallenbeck in the Long Jump & 55 Hurdles, and Klair Baker in the 1600m.  The next meet will be at home tomorrow against Hudson.

Day of Awesomeness day. 

• Tomorrow is the Day of Awesomeness for the students who earned it. I have the wristbands by 1st hour. 8th grade will be the group that is sorted by the 3rd 9 weeks elective classes, so that will take some sorting. We will get them to you 1st hour so students can put them on and be ready to go by 11am. 
• Each grade will be called in for their lunch times and will need to stay in to eat for lunches. They can come back out when they are done.

You will eat lunch at normal times in the school.

Due to a bus driver shortage, we are short a PM driver for today. We will not be running bus route #44 (previously #16) afternoon today. This is the PM route only.  if there are any students without transportation home please report this to the office so we can make alternate arrangements.

The Boys track coaches would like to recognize some track students that have made the top 100 in the state of Michigan for Middle school runners.
