The 8th grade Volleyball Team traveled to Hudson last night to take on the Tigers.  It was a rough start as the cats fell behind early in set one and Hudson took advantage.  Not to be discouraged, the Ladycats bounced back and played better as a unit, moving on to take sets two & three for a match win on the night.  

Scoring for the Ladycats were Lauren Terakedis, Avery Hively, Aubrie Schonfeld, Emmie VanZandt, Annie Moore, Hadley Ross, Ruby Helinski, Olivia Lowe, and Ella Ruttkofsky.  Great comeback tonight ladies!  

Next match will be at Blissfield on Monday, October 3rd.

The 8th grade football team had a close game against the Tigers from Hudson, 17-11. The Cats played hard right to the end and had 1 last play with 4 seconds left but came up short. The boys will travel to Ida next week and will try to rebound.

7th grade football team lost 38-0 to Hudson. However, there were some standouts in the last night game including Mattie Hallenbeck.

Student Council meeting is rescheduled for today during 5th period! 

Youth in Government applications are due to Mr. Hoffman by the end of the day today. You can leave them in the office or deliver to Mr. Hoffman.

Dance on Friday. You MUST be on your best behavior this week to attend. NO office blue sheet referrals.

The 8th grade Volleyball Team took on the Hillsdale Hornets Tuesday night at home.  With much determination from the entire squad, the Ladycats were able to take all 3 sets for their first match win of the season.  Scoring for the ladycats were Lauren Terakedis, Hadley Ross, Aubrie Schonfeld, Kayla Gerken, Avery Hively, & Annie Moore. 

7th grade girls volleyball team got their first win. The girls came out slow dropping the first set 20-25. Then pushed back and took the second two sets 25-19 and 25-15.

Good Luck to the MS 7th/8th grade Volleyball team as they are traveling to Hudson today.

Also Traveling to Hudson are the 7th/8th grade Football Players along with the Cheer team! Go Cats!

Good Morning Onsted Middle School, Today is Monday, September 26, 2022

Student Council meeting is rescheduled for Wednesday during 5th period!

The Onsted MS XCountry Boys finished in 8th place out of 23 teams. Elijah Huffman, Nicklas Holmes, Wesley Garrison, Garrett Smith, and Alex Hunt all finished in the top 75 of 274 runners and established new personal best times. Others who broke their personal record were Brendan Holmes and Joel Sniegowski.

The Onsted Girls finished in 10th place out of 23 teams. Alana Ramsey, Mattie Hallenbeck, and Ava Snyder finished in the top 100 of 212 runners and recorded new personal bests. Izzy Raglow also finished in the top 100 with a team leading 29th place finish for the girls. Among those with excellent performances, Presley Holmes also finished with a new personal best. The next meet will be at Stockbridge on October 1st!

Youth in Government applications are due to Mr. Hoffman by the end of the day on Wednesday, September 28th. You can leave them in the office or deliver to Mr. Hoffman.

This Friday September 30th, will be the 1st dance.

Good Morning Onsted Middle School, Today is Thursday, September 22, 2022

The 8th grade Volleyball team took on Ida Wednesday night at home. The first & second sets were taken by Ida for a match win, but the cats came back and claimed set three to show improvement over the first match of the season two days ago. Top server on the night was Lauren Terakedis with 15 points. Also scoring for the Wildcats were Annie Moore, Kayla Gerken, Avery Hively, Ella Ruttkofsky, Hadley Ross, and Ruby Helinski. Keep working ladies!

The Onsted 7th grade volleyball team hosted the Ida Bluestreaks tonight. The girls worked hard but lost the first set 14-25. In the second set they battled back and forth and won 26-24. The girls then fell in the last set 2-25. The cats are back at it again at home on Tuesday against Hillsdale.

The Onsted MS XCountry team ran well at home at the Village Park, with new personal bests and plenty of medalists.

The Onsted MS Boys team finished 4th out of 10 teams. Nicklas Holmes, Garrett Smith, Jack Tessier, and Brendan Holmes all beat personal bests and received medals. Elijah Huffman also received a medal and finished in 8th place.

The Onsted MS Girls team finished in 5th place out of 10, with all the Onsted Girls finishing with medals! Izzy Raglow, Mattie Hallenbeck, Jaelyn Gwinner, Chloe Gemalsky, and Presley Holmes all received medals. Alana Ramsey won herself a medal in 12th place, but also broke her personal best.

Big shout out to Coach Hall for putting on another fantastic race for our student athletes!!

Next meet for the Onsted MS XCountry team is Friday at Ella Sharp Park! Go WILDCATS!!!

8th grade football team defeated Hillsdale Wednesday night 17-11. Bryce Adams and Connor Kish scored 3 long TD's and the defense stopped the last drive of Hillsdale inside the Onsted 25. Lucas Arnold picked off their final pass. The team is now 2-0 and will host Hudson next week.

Good Morning Onsted Middle School, Today is Tuesday, September 20, 2022

7th/8th Volleyball:

The 8th grade Volleyball Team played their first match of the season last night at Columbia Central. The first set went to Columbia, then the Cats came back to take the 2nd, and the final  went to Columbia for the match win.  

Earning Service points for the Wildcats were Kayla Gerken, Emme VanZandt, Lauren Terakedis, Annie Moore, Hadley Ross, & Ella Ruttkofsky.  

The 7th grade girls volleyball team started the season tonight at Columbia Central. The girls came out strong taking the first set 26-24 then fell the second two sets 23-25 and 19-25.

First home game is tomorrow against Ida at 5pm. Go cats!

Any student interested in Youth and Government see Mr. Hoffman.

There was a ring turned into the office yesterday morning. If you think it may be yours come to the office.

Good Morning Onsted Middle School, Today is Monday, September 12, 2022

FCA starts this Wednesday. You do not have to be an athlete to join FCA. if you are a spiritual person looking for others to share time with come to our meetings. Meetings are in the Health room, with Mr. Bissot, for 6th grade, Mr. Aiken’s room for 7th graders and in the Health room with Mr. Thompson’s for 8th graders.

The Onsted MS XCountry team got their season started off at Hillsdale Academy with a great showing against 6 other teams.

The Onsted MS Boys finished 4th overall with a 10:23 average time. For the boys, Nicholas Holmes finished 9th out of 94 runners with a time of 9:48. Boys who finished in the top 25 were Elijah Hoffman and Wesley Garrison.

The Onsted Girls finished 3rd overall with a 12:57 average time. For the girls, Alana Ramsey finished in 9th out of 60 runners with a time of 11:59. Girls who finished in the top 25 were Mattie Hallenbeck, Jaelyn Gwinner, and Chloe Gemalsky.

Other Athletes with amazing performances include Brendan Holmes, Garrett Smith, Jack Tessier, Ava Snyder, Joel Sniegowski, and Justus Cunningham.

Next week, the Onsted MS XCountry team travels to Columbia Central to run against more teams on Tuesday. GO WILDCAT!!!
