The 7th grade boys lost the season finale against the Clinton Red Wolves. Carter Gillean and Parker Paquin lead the Cats on the offensive end with Jacob Ohlman and Brady Belfy were the catalyst on the defense end. What a phenomenal year - the significant rise in productivity that the boys made was outstanding from the start of the year to the end.  As a team, and more importantly a family, the Wildcats came together and proved to show handwork, determination, and grit in league play. The boys did a fantastic job representing their family’s, schools and community. Coaches could not be more proud. 

The Onsted 8th grade basketball team lost to a tough Clinton team on the road by 7 points.   Trey Wagner lead all scorers with 9 points, hitting three 3’s.  Bryce Adams had 8 points, Lucas Arnold had 7 points, and Connor Kish had 6 points.  This wraps up a successful season.  This Onsted team played with high intensity, hustled, worked hard, and had  great attitudes all season.  Congratulations on an overall successful season!

Congrats to the OMS cheerleaders! Our middle school team had a season high round 3 performance this afternoon with a 256.5 and total score of 376.06

These girls battled and kept the runner up 2nd place trophy at home to add to our case.

Good Luck to our basketball team as they travel to Clinton for their final game of the season!

The middle school competitive cheer team took 1st place at their LCAA tonight at Ida even with some last minute changes due to sickness, they pushed through with a round 2 score of 127.46 and a round 3 score of 247.3. Their highest scores ALL season!

Catch these girls in action at our home meet on Saturday! Varsity starts at 9am , middle school starts at 230p!

Attention any 7th and 8th grade girl interested in playing basketball; there will be a short meeting today in advisory. After attendance is taken, head to the cafeteria to meet the coaches.

The 7th grade boys lost to Columbia Central 21-8. Onsted showed much improvement from their previous matchup with the Golden Eagles breaking the press and playing high intensity defense. Caleb Keefe and Carter Gillean both contributed key buckets for the team while Parker Paquin and Zane Philips each knocked down free throws for the Cats.

The Onsted 8th grade lost at Columbia Central by 4 points.  We played hard and aggressive in the second half, coming back from a 9 point deficit.  The high scorers were Lucas Arnold and Coke England with 6 points.   Nolan Rumsey rebounded well and scored 5 points.  Jack Tessier played incredible defense getting steals and forcing turnovers, while also scoring 3 points. 

Good luck MS competitive Cheer team as they cheer in Ida tonight at 6:00.

 Boys Basketball teams:

Onsted 8th grade beat Dundee in the Onsted Big House by 20 points. It was a total team effort. Lucas Arnold lead all scorers with 8 points. Ben Steinmetz played aggressive defense and scored 4 points. Carson Garrison pulled down several rebounds and scored 3 points. Zach Taylor, Sawyer Murphy, Cole England, Colton Chamberlain played stifling defense and each scored 2 points. Brix Bumpus also play smothering defense and forced several turnovers.

The 7th grade boys won a nail bitter over Dundee with a score of 13-12. The Wildcats came together and played strong all game long to come home with the victory. Zane Phillips and Anderson Marsh played hard and provided the Wildcats with another solid game both on offense and defense. Mark Rascol was the paint protector on defense while Caleb Keefe dominated the offensive glass finishing with a handful of layups. Zayden Koeplfe was the top scorer for Onsted finishing with 6 well deserved points.

Right after announcements-we will be headed to the HS to watch the OHS Band Glow Show. They will be starting at 8:10 sharp! So no messing around or you will be left behind. Middle school will enter and exit through the main cafeteria entrance to avoid cross traffic. Use first gym doors on the left as you come into the cafeteria. Home bleachers only and STAY with your class. The concert will begin as soon as the lights are turned off and students are quiet. Students remain in your seat for the entire show. This is only 12 minutes long. NO PHONES will be permitted as it will disorient the performers...

This is serious and directions should be taken as such. We all are representing OMS. Be respectful.

Onsted 8th grade basketball beat a very tough Hillsdale team, giving them only their second loss of the season.  We played with incredible passion and toughness, to match an overly aggressive and scrappy Hillsdale team. Bryce Adam lead all scorers with 19 points, including hitting a key post layup and two clutch go ahead free throws in the last seconds. Nolan Rumsey contributed 7 points and several rebounds.  Connor Kish played very physical, scoring 4 points.  Brennen Wonders scored 3 points, including 2 clutch free throws to put us up 3 points at the end of the game. Lucas Arnold and Jack Tessier handled the pressure and made some nice passes against the press. Colton Chamberlain took the ball to the basket aggressively scoring 5 points.

The Onsted 8th grade won a tough game at home against Hudson by 2 points.  The high scorer and assist man was Lucas Arnold with 11 points and several assists.  Bryce Adams had 9 points, played great on defense, and had the game winning blocked shot.   Nolan Rumsey had 4 points and several rebounds.  Brix Bumpus, Cole England, and Zach Taylor played outstanding tough defense against Hudson’s best player. 

The 7th grade boys came out firing on all cylinders with a 29-9 victory over Hudson. Taryn Cabla applied phenomenal on ball pressure causing many turnovers. Carter Gillean played outstanding on both ends of the court finishing with 13 points. Zayden Koepfte broke out for several layups and hit a big three pointer to set tone for the Cats finishing with 11.
