The Onsted 8th grade lost what ended up being a close game against Ida at home.   We came back from being down 11 in the 3rd quarter to down only 2 in the 4th quarters.  Bryce Adams lead all scorers with 11 points.  Jack Tessier had a nice drive to the basket, got fouled, and scored a point.  Brix Bumpus also had some nice drives to the basket scoring 2 points. 


The 7th grade boys lost to the talented shooting Ida Bluestreaks 17-11. Although the Wildcats did not win, they played extremely hard causing nonstop steals, deflections, and turnovers all game long. Mr. Hustle Caleb Keefe was all over the court causing all sorts of problems for the Blue Streaks while Mark Rascal was the paint protector on defense for the Cats


Any 8th grade student with candy bar money, please report to Mrs. Smith's room after announcements.


We will be calling kids down by grade for the 1st marking period Incentive. Those that made it will have met the following: 

1-No more than 1 disciplinary referral for the quarter.

2-Earning no out/In school suspensions.

3- Less than 3 countable absences for the quarter(7 tardies=1 absences).

4-A grade of a C- or better in all classes for the quarter.

 

If you have questions about it be sure to speak to the office not the teachers.

Lost and Found is getting full! Please check to be sure you do not have anything there!


Attention those that ride bus #41: That bus will not have a bus driver again for the afternoon route today. If you do not have a ride please let the office know so we can make arrangements to get you home.


he 7th grade boys lost to a quick Columbia squad that proved to be persistent all night long with lot’s of pressure. Trevor Hale played his best game of year displaying excellent defense and setting quality screens for the Wildcats. Caleb Keefe stepped up and was an essential part of the press break while Brady Bellfy was a key ball handler for the Cats. Onsted is back in action tonight and will look to rebound against Ida.


The Onsted 8th grade lost a nail biter to Columbia Central in overtime. We played great team defense and held a very quick team in check for most of the game. The high scorer was Trey Wagner with 10 points including two 3s. Sawyer Murphy played aggressive defense and scored 2 points.

Boys basketball game: The Onsted 8th grade beat Dundee by 11 on the road.  We played with intensity and passion in the second half.  Bryce Adams lead all scores with 13 points.  Sean Symington had some great post moves and drives to the basket scoring 8 points.  Nolan Rumsey and Carson Garrison had several rebounds and each scored 4 points.  Colton Chamberlain played aggressively going to the basket, getting fouled and making a free throw. 


The 7th grade boys came out VICTORIOUS over a tough Dundee squad 21-8. Jacob Ohlman set the tone for the wildcats on defense causing nonstop deflections, steals, and turnovers. Anderson Marsh added two blocks to solidify the strong defense performance. Parker Paquin lead the team as a playmaker offensively with many timely assists and clutch buckets for the cats. Carter Gillean had a strong performance from the charity stripe finishing 4-4 from the line. Both Carter and Parker knocked down 3 pointers to space the floor for the the 7th grade boys. The team continues to play hard each and every possession.--

Boys Basketball team:

The 8th grade won a close game at Hudson by 2 points.  Once again they played tough team defense.  Trey Wagner was high scorer with 10 points, including 3 for 3 on 3 pointers.   Bryce Adams played great defense and scored 9 points.  Lucas Arnold and Connor Kish each chipped in a must needed 8 points.  Zach Taylor played intense defense against Hudson’s best player in the first half. 

The 7th grade boys came out AGGRESSIVE and topped Hudson 26-6. The Wildcats played hungry and ambitious from the opening tip. Taryn Cabla proved to be an X factor on defense contributing to many key defensive stops. Caleb Keefe played an all around stellar game causing many deflections, setting excellent screens, and driving to rim HARD while scoring 6 points to pace the Wildcats. Carter Gillean was a pivotal asset for the Wildcats as the key facilitator on offense - dishing out a handful of assists and scoring a team high of 10 points..
