Socktober has begun.  Join Student Voice and your Wildcat teams in collecting new pairs of socks for Lenawee County homeless shelters.  Drop your new pairs of socks off in your Wildcat team room this month.  There will be prizes awarded to each student who participates, as well as to the three teams that donate the most pairs of socks.

Popcorn Friday is today!  Popcorn will be sold during lunches.  Don't forget your dollar or your earned PBIS ticket.

Mathletes interested in stretching your mind and problem-solving, we will begin training next week.  Practices will be held by grade level during lunches on Mondays in October and November.  So get your lunch, and head to your math classroom on Monday to begin training.  Beginning in December, we will train across grade levels.

Join OHS’ Onsted on the Go on Tuesday, October 14th at 6:00 PM in the OHS Media Center for the final informational meeting about the 2026 Costa Rica trip!
There are still a few spots open—plus lots of ways to make the trip affordable through fundraising and scholarships.

Chess Club Begins Wednesday October 15th. It will be held in the MS Cafeteria and be finished by 4:15. Please have your ride here by then.

The Onsted MS Cross Country team brought grit, heart, and speed to the Sand Creek Invite, earning an impressive 5th place finish for both the girls and boys squads out of 16 competitive teams.
Stylar Ross led the charge receiving a medal with a stellar 9th place finish. Those who not only received medals, but also broke personal records and scored were Samarah Huffman, Mattison Ruttkofsky, Lily Louden, Madelyn Mullins and Hadley Schaefer-who was outside of scoring, but received a medal for her efforts. Adelynn McConeghy and Eliza Whitaker also broke their personal best times, showing their resilience all the way towards the finish.
Out of 112 runners, our Boys brought the heat on what was a great day for running. Zander Springer crossed the line in 11th place, receiving a medal and breaking his personal best time by 9 seconds. Noah Jackson and Kolton Turbeville- who broke his personal best time- also were medalists, with strong support from Hayden Jackson and Zayne Johnstone- also breaking his personal record- to complete the scoring for the Boys. Also breaking personal records were Tyler Hosler, Rosson Sutherland, Carter Holtzbauer, Lincoln Chamberlain, and Roman Lukasik.
Next up for the Onsted MS Cross Country team, the last race of the season, the Regional meet at Hudson on Saturday, October 18th.
