 Onsted Middle School Announcements, Monday, October 16, 2023

-Teachers remember that today is Special Person's Day at book fair.

The Onsted MS XC runners finished their hard week with a cold shower at Gerber Park in Blissfield on Saturday.

The Onsted Girls finished in 5th place among 12 teams and 77 total runners. For the Girls, Klair Baker finished in 7th place. Alana Ramsey finished in 24th place, and Stylar Ross finished in 32nd place and broke her personal best record. Others who scored by placing for Onsted were Samarah Huffman and Maggie Springer.

The Onsted Boys didn't have enough runners to score as a team, but ran tough regardless of the weather. Garrett Smith finished in 30th place, followed by John Pfeffer who finished in 37th. Zander Springer and Ollie McMichael finished up the running for the Onsted Boys, placing amongst the 96 runners.

Next up for the Onsted MS XCountry team is a race at Hanover Horton on Thursday! Keep running and Go Wildcats!

The 8th grade Volleyball Team traveled to Madison Saturday for the LCAA Tournament and finished 2-1 on the day. The cats fell to Dundee in the first match, but came back to defeat both Hillsdale & Madison, bringing their overall record to 6-5.

The 7th grade Volleyball Team finished the day going 1-2. The cats came back to defeat Madison at the end of the day. Brielle Aiken scored a total of 22 service points. Lydia Sutherland scored a total of 20 service points. Bella Solid scored a total of 11 service points.

All the girls worked their hardest and it showed, great job cats! We travel to Blissfield on Monday to take on the Royals. Go cats!
