Attention Football Players: No Football practice today. You are not allowed to remain at the school so be sure to make arrangements now to get home.
The first meet of the season gave us a glimpse of the talent we have on this team. It was also a night of firsts — the five 6th graders, along with 7th grader Wyatt Lowe, ran their first cross country race ever!
The boys finished 3rd as a team, led by 8th grader Malachi Cunningham, who placed 5th overall. Zayne Johnstone was next in 11th, followed by Hayden Jackson in 13th, Caleb LaBeau in 14th, and Raymond Platts in 15th.
It was especially great to see our boys pack up through the field, with five Wildcats finishing between 13th and 19th place. Justin Kirchner, Wyatt Lowe, and Cameron Gast rounded out that strong group.
The girls finished 2nd as a team, led by 7th grader Madelyn Mullins, who placed 3rd overall. Hadley Schaefer finished 9th, followed by Lily Louden in 13th and Lucy Kormos in 15th.
Madelyn, Malachi, and Hadley all earned medals for their performances!
A great start to the season, a lot of firsts, and plenty to build on from here. Great job, Wildcats!
