OMS Announcements, Wednesday, April 1, 2026

Announcements are by Briella Ross-Every and Ella Arnold

Today we celebrate our outstanding paraprofessionals:

Mrs. Steinmetz, Mrs. Permoda, Mrs. Dillon, Mrs. Jordan, Mrs. Valdez, Mrs. Courington, Mrs. Parker, and Mrs. Tracy.

Your dedication, patience, and support make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and staff every day. Thank you for all you do—you are truly appreciated!

It's launch day! Artemis II is launching to go to the moon tonight at 6:24PM.  This is the first crew to go to the moon since 1972.  NASA is livestreaming the event on YouTube if you want to watch history being made.

We have a full day tomorrow and no school friday.

Autism Awareness Day Announcement

Attention students and staff!
Tomorrow we will celebrate Autism Awareness Day. To show our support and help spread awareness, everyone is encouraged to wear blue.

Wearing blue helps us recognize and celebrate people with autism and reminds us to be kind, accepting, and inclusive of everyone.

Let’s fill our school with blue and show our support. Thank you for helping make our school a welcoming place for all!

It’s not too late to order your 2026 OMS Yearbook! Orders will be accepted through the end of April.  Orders can be placed online at Treering.com.  Talk to Mrs. Smith if you have any questions.

The Yearbook Staff are looking for photos of OMS students in action at middle school events during school or after school.  Please send your photos to Mrs. Smith by April 17th.

The OMS yearbook staff is creating a special tribute to our 8th graders, and we need your help! Please share a baby photo of your 8th grader so we can include them in this year’s yearbook. You can send photos to Mrs. Heather Smith. Digital copies are preferred, but printed photos can also be submitted (they will be returned).

✏️ Important: Please include the student’s first and last name with the photo so we can correctly identify each submission.  Submission Deadline: Friday, April 17th  Please turn in your photo by this date to ensure your student is included in this fun and memorable section.  Thank you for helping us celebrate our 8th graders! 🎉
