OMS Announcements, Tuesday, September 16, 2025

Announcements are by Lilly Louden and Erin Mellis

If you are an athlete, if you are a spiritual person, if you are looking for a place to belong, FCA may be for you.  FCA Huddles will begin meeting this Wednesday during lunches.  7th grade in Mr. Howland's classroom and 8th grade in Mrs. Smith's math classroom.  (6th graders...we didn't forget you.  Your first meeting will be sometime after camp.  Listen to announcements for further information.) Hope to see you there.

Youth in Government will meet Today during lunch. 7th and 8th grade will meet in Ms. Sherman's room today. Bring your lunch.

Onsted Homecoming is next week.  To celebrate, OMS will be having "Travel Around the World" spirit days.  Help support the Wildcats by participating.  Spirit day themes are:

Monday:  Airport Day...wear your comfiest clothes.
Tuesday:  Souvenir Day...wear your favorite souvenir or tourist outfit.
Wednesday:  Tropical Day...dress for tropical weather.
Thursday:  Air Traffic Control Day...wear your NEON.
Friday School Colors Day...wear your Onsted gear.

Remember, all spirit week attire must meet the school dress code.

The 7th grade volleyball team hosted the Hudson tigers last night for their first match of the season. Your lady cats showed determination and improvement throughout their match, despite falling short in the end. The girls worked hard with an 18-25 start, struggled to gain momentum in the second trailing 16-25, but rallied in the third set narrowly falling 23-25. The girls’ resilience and progress throughout their match, highlight what is to come this season. Great job cats!

The 8th grade Volleyball team played host to Hudson Monday night and although much effort was shown, the Tigers came out on top with scores of 15-25, 3-25 & 11-25. Scoring service points for the Ladycats were Paige Mathis, Delaynie Ramsey, Pieper Chamberlain, & Kate McKelvey.  The next match will be Wednesday at home against Hillsdale.

OMS Yearbook applications are due Thursday—see Mrs. Smith, 8th grade math teacher.
