 Onsted Middle School Announcements, Tuesday, February 7 , 2023

Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. George will be hosting Wellness Wednesdays in the guidance office.  During these sessions, students will be able to learn stress management techniques.  Some techniques include meditation, yoga, cardio drumming, and mindfulness practices.  Sessions will be held during advisory on Wednesday and will begin on February 8th.  There are limited spaces available. If you are interested, sign up in the guidance office.

The 7th grade boys restroom has a drain plugged. I locked it up and put an out of order sign up so we can continue to fix it. Will keep you updated.

The 7th grade girls basketball team came away with their first victory tonight against Hillsdale. They did a great job of attacking the basket on offense and finding the open players. Payton Edwards and Leah Boellner were the leading scorers on offense! Jessiyah Helminiak, Isabelle Annon, and Hayleigh Anstead did a nice job of helping on defense and keeping the opponents out of the paint. Grace Kent, Braelyn Valasek, and Lillian Briggs did a great job of being aggressive on offense and defense. It was a great team effort by all.

The 8th grade girls traveled to Hillsdale tonight and came away with the victory. They played great team defense and attacked the basket on offense. Mattie Hallenbeck, Emily Durfey and Hadley Ross played great defense down low. Kayla Gerken led the offense for the Lady Cats. Other offensive contributions were made by Lauren Terakedis, Hadley Ross, Ella Ruttkofsky, Izzy Raglow and Emme VanZandt. Great team effort!!
