Good Morning Onsted Middle School, Today is Tuesday, February 22, 2022

Happy 2.2.22 DAY!

The 8th grade basketball team took Blissfield down to the wire last night and fell just short 15-11. The girls have made great improvement over the past couple weeks and played tough defense for most of the game. Alexis Edwards, Lily Chamberlain, Yolanda Casarez played solid defense, Emma Grulke got a few rebounds in for the team at her first game/practice being out of her boot!  While McKenna Szul and Aubreigh Smith added baskets to help the leading scorers of Hannah Hill & Jaylen Lambka. Coach Thompson & Coach Blakeman are very proud of how this team is improving. 

7th grade took a loss after a tough competition.

It is great to see the Middle school fans sitting in the stands cheering on the 7th and 8th grade girls!

Onsted Middle School traveled to Dundee on Saturday for the LCAA invitational. It was by far the toughest tournament our team has wrestled in. We took 4th in team points (out of 12 teams) and we had 12 out of 16 kids place individually. Proud is an understatement!

Last week the lady cats traveled.. 7th grade came out with a win. McKenna Szul, Hannah Hill, Aubreigh Smith, Lily Chamberlain and Alexis Edwards and Sydney Keefe played some lock down pressure defense that led to several breakaway lay-ups for the Jaylen Lambka who had a big game with 14 points. They won this game 25-7.

Attention Talent Show participants! We will hold practice after school this week today and tomorrow only.

 

Also, due to our two snow days last week, we are still accepting applicants through Thursday of this week.
