Good Morning Onsted Middle School, Today is Thursday , October 7th
The MS FB teams hosted Ida and finished the night with a split.
The 7th grade won 30-14 on the scoreboard. Aiden Schmidt scored 2 touchdowns and a 2 point conversion. Bryce Adams scored 2 touchdowns and two 2 point conversions, Connor Kish scored 1 touchdown, and Landon Johnson scored a touchdown on a kickoff return.
The 8th grade came up short on the scoreboard 3-6. Cole Ruttkofsky scored 2 touchdowns and Austin Moore score a 2 point conversion.
The MS FB is now 5-1 on the season and will host a very tough Clinton program next week for their last home games of the season.
It was a great day for the Onsted MS XCountry team at Blissfield, with most of the athletes setting new seasonal and personal bests! Those that finished in the top 25 and had either seasonal or personal bests were Zack Taylor, Raegan Brosamer, Izzy Raglow, Emma Grulke, and Chris Durfey. Others who had outstanding times were Jack Tessier, Nicklas Holmes, Brennen Wonders, Alana Ramsey, Tristan Engler, and Jonah McKelvey.
Next meet is Saturday with a stacked field of runners at Hudson! (41 different schools competing) Good Luck to all the runners!
The 7th grade girls volleyball team took on Columbia Central tonight. In the first set the score was neck and neck until Columbia broke away and took the win 18-25. The second game was just as close but the wildcats lost 19-25. The girls pushed hard and came back in the third set to win 25-14! Up next is Michigan Center on Saturday. Go cats!
The 8th grade volleyball team beat Columbia winning the first set 25-16, Second set 31-29, and lost the third set 25-16. Top scorer was Karlie Kimmer with 13 points. Also scoring were Megan Hunt, Hannah Hill, Alexis Edwards, McKenna Szul, Sydney Keefe, and Ava Kurowski. Congratulations to all the girls on the outstanding performance!

Attention 6th grade students, if you would like a chance to be on student council this year, please pick up an application from Mr. Arnold, completed applications are due back to Mr. Arnold by Tuesday, October 12.
Students you can bring book donations to Mrs. Smelser room any day through Friday of this week.
I've had lots of questions about the Parade tomorrow!: Parade is a go if it is just raining lightly. Only way it will cancel is if we have thunder or lightning. If we are lined up and ready to go by 3:45 we will start early if rain is in the forecast!
