 Good Morning Onsted Middle School, Today is Monday, October 25th

On Wednesday, October 27th, the Wildcat Marching Band along with the 6th, 7th and 8th grade bands will present their first concert of the year at 7pm in the High School Gym.  All Onsted Band performances are free and open to the public but donations will be taken at the door to offset the cost of the special effects used for this concert.  The show will also include Halloween themed selections from the 7th and 8th grade band as well as some creative costuming from all of our middle school bands.  ALL MS BAND MEMBERS are to report directly to the Gym at their report time. Staff and students, please join us for an exciting night of some wonderful music by the Onsted Bands! Hope to see you there!     

The Onsted MS XCountry team ran the last meet of the season at the MS Regionals at Hudson.
For the Girls, they finished in 9th place among 26 teams and 166 girls! Onsted Girl's Raegan Brosamer (24th place), Izzy Raglow (34th place), Alana Ramsey (73rd place), and Jaelyn Gwinner (92nd place) all finished with new personal bests! Mattie Hallenbeck in 99th and Chloe Gemalsky in 120th.
Boys finished 18th out of 27 teams! The Top 3 Onsted Boy's finishers that broke personal bests were Zack Taylor in 54th place, Nicklas Holmes in 100th place, and Jonah McKelvey in 127th place. Those that also broke personal bests were Brendan Holmes, Sawyer Murphy, Tristan Engler, and Joel Sniegowski.
Thank you kiddos for all your hard work and perseverance this season! You are all incredible!😊

The 8th grade Volleyball Team traveled to Dundee for the LCAA Tourney to conclude their 2021 season. The first match against a tough Ida team was dropped in two sets. The second against Hudson was better with a win in all 3 sets. The final match was against Blissfield with close scores, and in the 3rd set the cats fell short to the Royals. Scoring leaders of the day were Hannah Hill, Karlie Kimerer, & Lily Chamberlain. Also scoring were McKenna Szul, Ava Kurowski, & Megan Hunt. Great contributions by all!

7th and 8th grade Basketball tryouts are cancelled for today and will happen tomorrow! Make sure you have arrangements after school.

Picture retake is this Thursday. Also this week are Conferences: Thursday and Friday both being half days!

There was a key found in the hallway. If it is yours come to the office to claim! Also the lost and found is piling up. lots of binders, trapper keepers, water bottles and sweatshirts, take a look in the cafeteria!
